Our story
The Greenwood family has lived in Molalla since 2018. Matt, Andrea, and their two boys - Bryce & Blake - have developed many relationships with people in this growing community. Early on, they were serving in ministry in Canby but falling more in love with the Molalla community. God had stirred within them a growing desire to start a church that shares and lives out the Gospel message to the people in the Molalla community who do not know Jesus or have not been connected to a local church. Both Matt and Andrea had served in various capacities in ministry over the years and were excited to begin the journey of leading Living Water Church.
Joined by a handful of other families, they began meeting in April of 2022. The church was blessed with the opportunity to meet at Grace Church in Molalla on Sunday evenings. The small group of attendees has steadily grown and - in particular - families with young children, making gatherings lively and down to earth.
This community of believers has since enjoyed meeting in alternative settings - partially to accommodate the needs of energetic kiddos and partially to appreciate the beautiful natural areas around Molalla. For example, making use of local parks to host worship services, observing Resurrection Sunday riverside, and celebrating baptisms in the Molalla River. In 2025 we enjoyed our first church campout.
God has clearly blessed and commissioned us to walk alongside families of all shapes and sizes. Be it in a small group/Bible study, potluck dinner, youth or children’s event, or with the Molalla High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, we truly enjoy caring for each other and strive to share the love of Christ with our community.
